First of all, Happy New Year from Kerio. We are really looking forward to 2012. It's the year of US presidential elections. It's the year of the Olympics. According to the Chinese calendar, it's the year of the Dragon. According to the Mayans....never mind on that one.
For Kerio, it's the year of "Alternative IT."
What does that mean? Well, at Kerio, often when we speak to partners and customers we find ourselves describing the company as an alterative to the status quo. We are an alternative to Exchange, an alternative to SharePoint, an alternative to Google, an alternative to the expensive telephony guy who works in the mysterious closet. In many environments, we are a superior alternative - and I think a large percentage of our partners and customers would agree.
You get the idea. The IT space has changed so much in the last few years. Technologies like cloud computing, touch screen tablets and social collaboration tools mean the status quo is no longer the only option. The alternative approach is geared toward making technology simpler, more flexible, and more accessible. Alternative IT is gaining ground because it makes too much sense to ignore.
Through our simple, stable and secure products, Kerio has embraced the concept. We like it so much, we even made T-shirts.
We offer midsize organizations an alternative to watered-down enterprise products. At the other end of the spectrum, we offer small companies true business-class solutions that are an alternative to consumer-grade or free products that don't cut it in the business world.
I've been fortunate enough to get a sneak peek at what's coming from Kerio. It's going to be an exciting year. We look forward sharing a great 2012 with our partners, customers, contacts and friends.
